Country House Renewal |

Coolfin is the reconfiguration and refurbishment of an existing 1970’s country residence that is characterised by its ‘Georgian-style’ architectural features.

The brief was to create a contemporary home that is sympathetic to the existing architecture of the residence, whilst maximising the available space.

The original features were retained and celebrated, and now sit alongside more contemporary elements to deliberately contrast old with new.

An honest palette of natural materials has been used, including brick, oak, and stone.

The restrained material palette is continued throughout the entire scheme to create a cohesive design that celebrates the architecture of the building and provides a unique 21st-century home.
